Wellbeing in the community

Wellbeing in the community

We believe in enhancing emotional wellbeing across all walks of life. As a social enterprise, Absolute Specialists Wellbeing are looking to create pathways to support the wider community.

We work with schools, charities and not-for-profit organisations as we believe this is the best route to reaching he people who need our wellbeing workshops and one to one support the most.

Working with Young People

We work with young people (aged 15-25) in schools, colleges and other institutions across South and West Yorkshire. Our workshops are aimed to foster and improve:

  • Emotional intelligence.
  • Resilience.
  • Confidence.
  • A sense of personal values and responsibility.
  • Kindness.

We find that many young adults struggle with stress, anxiety and depression. Whether these conditions are rooted in family or social problems, around exam stress or the thought of leaving home; we can work with young adults to help them to cope with the struggles of daily life.

Our workshops provide tools to help young people respond positively to the many challenges they face. We listen compassionately and without judgement, creating an environment that promotes openness and positivity, allowing them to feel heard and understood. These sessions can be followed by personalised one-to-one sessions for people with more complex needs.

We coach young people to develop skills that will help them to combat stress and anxiety, be self-assured and guided by clear personal values throughout their lives.

Working with Adults in the Community

Absolute Specialists Wellbeing support people through their work with charities, public sector organisations and housing associations. Starting with individuals, we aim to improve the wellbeing of communities.

There are many times in peoples’ lives where there is a need for additional support. Whether suffering from health problems (or caring for somebody who is) or struggling with life changes; our practitioners will guide towards a more positive way of thinking.

We offer emotional support for people navigating a variety of difficult situations, such as:

  • Unemployment.
  • Debt/financial difficulties.
  • Divorce/separation.
  • Physical ill health.
  • Caring for a relative or friend.
  • Homelessness.
  • Addiction.
  • Adoption/fostering.

All of these experiences can have a detrimental effect on emotioanl health. We facilitate group workshops which provide practical tools and techniques that will help people to see the world in a more positive light and regain their confidence.

Our fully-trained integrative coaches deliver sessions that are designed to give individuals the tools and techniques to improve their self-esteem, develop confidence and increase resilience.
